Braxton Street, Democrat for Delegate – District 40, Baltimore City

Braxton Street is running for re-election to the Democratic State Central Committee representing District 40. Serving on the Central Committee is about more than a title - it’s about doing the work to strengthen our party, empower our communities, and deliver real results for Baltimore. I seek to continue doing this work. My platform is grounded in the following commitments:

Strengthening Our Democratic Infrastructure: A strong party wins elections - and builds lasting change. I have and will continue to:

  • Expand voter registration and engagement efforts year-round, not just during election season

  • Support coordinated, data-driven outreach in every neighborhood, not just in District 40 but across Baltimore and across our state.

  • Ensure transparency and accountability in party operations.

  • Work to ensure the youth are at the table in conversations and decisions regarding the direction of our community and Party.

  • Make sure that the Democratic Party is accountable to the people.

Community-Driven Engagement: Our party must be visible, accessible and responsive to the people we serve. I have and will continue to:

  • Host regular community forums and listening sessions to stay connected to residents’ concerns

  • Partner with neighborhood associations, faith institutions, and civic organizations

  • Provide clear, consistent communication about elections, issues and opportunities to get involved

  • Meet the people where they are— both in-person and through other methods of engagement.

Voter Education, Engagement & Protection: An informed voter is a powerful voter. I have and will continue to:

  • Expand education on voter registration, early voting, and mail-in ballot access

  • Work closely with the Board of Elections to ensure fair and accessible voting processes

  • Promote civic education initiatives, especially for young and first-time voters

  • Advocate for protecting voting rights and increasing participation across all communities

Building a Bigger, More Inclusive Party: Our strength is in our diversity—and our unity. I have and will continue to:

  • Engage underrepresented communities and ensure their voices are heard

  • Create pathways for young people to take on leadership roles within the party

  • Foster collaboration across generations, backgrounds and perspectives

Delivering Results for District 40 and the People of Baltimore: Representation means not just talk, but action. I have and will continue to:

  • Work alongside our City and State elected officials to ensure community concerns are elevated and addressed

  • Advocate for resources and opportunities that benefit District 40 residents

  • Keep constituents informed about decisions and developments that impact their lives

  • Stay accountable— because this role is about service, not status

I am running for re-election because the work continues. Together, we will build a Democratic Party that is ready for the moment, responsive to the people and focused on delivering real results.

Ready. Responsive. Results.

Baltimore is our home. I will continue to advocate for bold, responsible, and progressive solutions. As your community voice to the Democratic Party, I will fight for the city’s future and help write the next chapter in Baltimore’s “Greatest Comeback” story!
